At Evotec we  have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Media Specialist to join our Sales and Marketing team in Hamburg, Germany.

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include

  • Manage and enhance our social media presence and LinkedIn ads in collaboration with internal stakeholders, external providers, and agencies to boost activity and reach.
  • Developing a comprehensive social media strategy that supports the company's goals, such as increasing brand awareness, increasing customer loyalty, driving traffic to the website, etc.
  • Creating engaging and relevant content for various social media platforms such as text, images, videos, infographics, etc. Create editorial calendars and syndication of campaign schedules/launches etc.
  • Interacting with the company's online community, responding to questions, comments, and feedback, and building relationships with followers and customers.
  • Monitoring social media activity and conversations to identify trends, gather feedback and analyze the performance of social media activities.
  • Identifying Evotec’s target groups on our selected social media platforms and adapting content and strategies according to the needs and interests of these target groups.
  • Planning, creating, and optimizing paid advertising campaigns on social media platforms to increase reach, boost conversions or achieve other specific goals.
  • Monitoring new developments trends in social media and identifying opportunities to leverage them to strategically advance Evotec's social media activities.
  • Working closely with other teams such as corporate communications, operations, and business development to ensure consistent communication, an integrated marketing strategy and maintain consistency in brand tone, image, and style across different platforms.
  • Develop strategic activities and campaigns aimed at our target groups and research and analyze other relevant social media channels to stay on top of the latest developments.
  • Evaluating the success of social media activities using metrics such as engagement rate, follower growth, conversion rate and other relevant metrics to determine ROI and optimize future strategies.
  • Support and advise internal stakeholders in effectively managing their online and social media activities.

Qualifications & Skills

  • A successfully completed apprenticeship or degree in digital media, media design or a comparable qualification and initial professional experience in a comparable position.
  • Extensive experience in online and social media and content management with a special focus on Social Media channels from a content, process, and technical perspective.
  • Enthusiasm for B2B marketing and marketing of services requiring explanation.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills to ensure correct content development, smooth communication, and collaboration within the Evotec companies.
  • Strong analytical skills, very good communication, and teamwork skills as well as a high degree of responsibility, creativity, and structured work.
  • Comfortable to work in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Highly organized and capable of working on multiple tasks to tight deadlines.
  • Strong editorial experience, content creation, copywriting and storytelling skills coupled with digital design expertise, proficiency in image and video editing using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premier, Illustrator), and a sound understanding of tracking tools, marketing automation (HubSpot), and Social Media tools.
  • Knowledgeable in conceptualizing, producing, editing, and distributing topic-oriented content across various mediums (e.g., social media, moving images, photos), as well as managing and implementing social media and online campaigns.
  • Profound experience in implementing and driving online marketing campaigns across websites and Social Media channels.
  • Experience in measuring return on investment (ROI) by evaluating the success of social media activities using metrics such as engagement rate, follower growth, conversion rate, and other relevant metrics to determine ROI and optimize future strategies.
  • Deep understanding of analytical aspects of marketing trends and their performance.
  • Solid experience in project management of online communication projects and steering service providers and agencies (agency management).
