Laboratory Facilities Operations Manager, Framingham, MA

Cyprotex, part of the Evotec group are recruiting a Lab/Facilities Operations Manager to join our team based at Framingham, MA, US. 

It’s the caliber of our people that creates our success so we’re looking for a highly self-motivated Lab/Facilities Operations Manager to support the operations of our Framingham site. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and multitasking skills, good communication skills and a solid understanding of lab operations in a CRO setup.

The position is full time and based in Framingham, MA.

Primary Responsibilities

·Oversee equipment performance and work with third party providers to ensure optimal equipment operation. This includes scheduling preventive maintenance, calibration, installation, and service requests and reports.

·Manage stockrooms to maintain healthy stock levels and place orders for consumables and special orders. Work with the procurement team to purchase fixed assets.

·Serve as a point of contact for all lab and business operations needs.

·Provide operational support for all lab needs, including opening service calls for lab equipment and troubleshooting.

·Responsible for international and domestic shipping and receiving of packages.

·Providing laboratory and operations overviews during the onboarding of new personnel

·Collect biohazardous and hazardous waste and coordinate pick-ups.

·Work with EHS Manager to ensure lab safety compliance.

·Maintain federal and local permits and licenses up to date.

·Form part of the emergency response team and serve as emergency contact.

Preferred qualifications

·High School Diploma required, BS preferred.

·2+ years of experience managing a lab in a CRO

·Familiarity with Mass Spectrometers and automation a plus

·Demonstrate good organizational skills and operational expertise.

·Hands on attitude

·Proactive problem solver and strong collaborator that can build relationship

·Technical aptitude for lab equipment

·Additional Job Description

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $93,500 to $104,000; Base salary offered may vary depending on individual’s skills, experience, and competitive market value.
