At Evotec’s headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, we are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated
Human Sample Management Associate
Full-time and permanent
to join our Human Sample Management team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, discovery-driven environment within the Translational Biomarkers department, supporting Evotec’s drug discovery efforts by ensuring ethical and regulatory compliance in human sample management.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary research team in a fast-paced, discovery-oriented environment across multiple departments and Evotec sites
- Ensure ethical and regulatory compliance for donor and patient samples at an international level
- Analyze, evaluate, and approve acquisition and use of human biospecimens, considering research intent and compliance requirements
- Implement and maintain documentation in line with company quality standards for human and clinical trial sample management in a Good Research Practice environment
- Support sample tracking and clinical data management in Evotec’s databases in collaboration with the team and line manager
Qualifications:
- Ideally a PhD in Biology or a related field (e.g., Medicine) with a strong scientific background and some years of experience in human sample management, quality or compliance, or related areas
- Alternatively, a Master’s degree with several years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in implementing workflows to ensure ethical and regulatory compliance
- Strong project management skills, including planning and organizational capabilities
- Ability to work on cross-functional, multidisciplinary projects and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills for engaging stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
- Fluency in English; German language proficiency is a plus
