Senior Manager, Supply Chain Operations

Job Summary:
Based at our Toulouse site, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain professional to take on a strategic role and help elevate our operations to the next level. The position is responsible for aligning local strategies and operational processes with global standards in a fast-paced, evolving environment. As a key member of the Global Supply Chain Leadership Team, you will report directly to the Global Head of Supply Chain based at our headquarters in Hamburg, Germany.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage local warehouse and distribution teams, ensuring high performance, safety, and compliance

  • Deliver agreed service levels, drive local priorities, and act as an escalation point

  • Serve as a business partner to local stakeholders

  • Contribute to global strategy and process design (including systems) and deploy locally

  • Promote standardization of processes, systems, and organizational structures in line with global best practices

  • Ensure compliance with export controls and regulatory requirements (e.g., health & safety, human samples, import/export regulations, environmental standards)

  • Support contract negotiations with carriers and third-party logistics providers and ensure high-quality service levels

  • Manage cost center budgets and forecast future operational needs

  • Monitor and report country-specific KPIs

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management; minimum of 10 years of professional experience, ideally in the pharmaceutical sector

  • Proven leadership experience with at least 5 years in a senior operational management role

  • Strong expertise in ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), data analysis, and Supply Chain optimization

  • Experience in global trade and customs regulations (IATA)

  • Familiarity with handling scientific biomaterials and chemicals is a plus

  • Fluent in French and English (mandatory)

  • Demonstrated success in leading change management initiatives
