We’re looking for a passionate and curious Laboratory Manager to join our team. What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure that all areas of a complex high throughput compound management operation run safely on schedule and with the highest level of quality.
  • Supervise and train staff at the SM Lab Technician, Operator and Associate Scientist levels. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of Titian Mosaic as it pertains to Evotec Sample Management Operations.
  • Act as primary liaison between Evotec Informatics, Information Technology, and Titian to ensure inventory applications meet the needs of both clients and operational staff.
  • Provide hands-on support daily in the laboratory managing technical and operational issues as required.
  • Could operate various liquid handlers and automation as it pertains to sample management.
  • Interact with management at all levels.
  • Build and maintain a schedule for complex, high throughput compound management operations.
  • Advanced capability with Excel and other software suites.
  • Collaborate with the Automation Engineering function to support Operations and the needs of client workflows.

Who You Are:

  • Must have a demonstrated record of achievement within sample management operations.
  • Experience managing and developing technical and operations staff.
  • Experience with Titian Mosaic, including development testing, is a significant advantage.
  • Collaboration and interpersonal skills to work effectively across functions, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to create and analyse spreadsheets to evaluate data and make recommendations.
  • Ability to handle multiple deadlines and associated pressures.
  • Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a life science field with at least 6 years of experience working in a lab and 1-2 years with direct reports.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $66,000 to $95,000; Base salary offered may vary depending on the individual’s skills, experience and competitive market value. Additional total rewards include discretionary annual bonus, comprehensive benefits to include Medical, Dental and Vision, short-term and long-term disability, company paid basic life insurance, 401k company match, flexible work, generous paid time off and paid holiday, wellness and transportation benefits.
