Evotec is a global leader in drug discovery and development solutions. We’re looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to help grow our fee-for-service business, build brand recognition, and develop client relationships across an assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue Growth Support: Proactively identify and qualify new leads for Evotec’s contract services.Take ownership of smaller pipeline opportunities (academic & Biotech sectors) from first contact to signed contract.

  • Brand Building: Help increase Evotec’s visibility and recognition in your territory by participating in client meetings, conferences, and events.

  • Client Interaction: Spend 40–50% of your time in the field with clients under guidance from senior BD staff, building relationships with decision-makers and influencers.

  • Sales Process Execution: Support the implementation of sales and marketing plans for the territory as part of a regional team of BD professionals.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Operations and Marketing to support project onboarding and client satisfaction.

  • Reporting & Insights: Track account activity, maintain CRM data, and provide market feedback to senior management.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–3 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management in the life sciences, biotech, or contract research industry (CRO highly preferred).

  • Familiarity with drug discovery pathways (academic or industry exposure acceptable).

  • A self-motivated and target driven individual with a strong desire to push deals to closure.Ability to identify opportunities, conduct client research, and craft initial recommendations.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a consultative mindset.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and follow-up skills.

  • Enthusiasm for learning and developing a career in business development within the life sciences sector.
