Business Development Manager (all genders)
Evotec is a global leader in drug discovery and development solutions. We’re looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to help grow our fee-for-service business, build brand recognition, and develop client relationships across an assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Growth Support: Proactively identify and qualify new leads for Evotec’s contract services.Take ownership of smaller pipeline opportunities (academic & Biotech sectors) from first contact to signed contract.
Brand Building: Help increase Evotec’s visibility and recognition in your territory by participating in client meetings, conferences, and events.
Client Interaction: Spend 40–50% of your time in the field with clients under guidance from senior BD staff, building relationships with decision-makers and influencers.
Sales Process Execution: Support the implementation of sales and marketing plans for the territory as part of a regional team of BD professionals.,
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Operations and Marketing to support project onboarding and client satisfaction.
Reporting & Insights: Track account activity, maintain CRM data, and provide market feedback to senior management.
What We’re Looking For
2–3 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management in the life sciences, biotech, or contract research industry (CRO highly preferred).
Familiarity with drug discovery pathways (academic or industry exposure acceptable).
A self-motivated and target driven individual with a strong desire to push deals to closure.Ability to identify opportunities, conduct client research, and craft initial recommendations.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with a consultative mindset.
Strong organizational, analytical, and follow-up skills.
Enthusiasm for learning and developing a career in business development within the life sciences sector.
