Group Business Controller (all genders)

Full-time and permanent

into our Global Business Controlling team based at our Headquarters in Hamburg.  This is a key position within our Group Business Controlling organization, reporting to the VP Business Controlling.  The position is responsible for supporting with the coordination of all global business controlling activities for Evotec Group, focused on strong business partnering across our matrix organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a Finance Business Partner to Global Enabling Functions
• Collaborate closely with leadership across Enabling Functions (HR, Supply Chain, IT, and R&D)
• Deliver in-depth analysis of key KPIs to Enabling Function leadership
• Own and execute key SOX controls
• Drive centralized analysis of business performance across Enabling Functions
• Provide KPI reporting to Global FP&A
• Support the implementation of our global FP&A tool
• Contribute to the development of global reporting dashboards
• Assist Global FP&A in budgeting and strategic planning processes
• Collaborate with Group Accounting during monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including contributions to the Management Report / MD&A sections for external financial reporting

Qualifications:   

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Significant professional experience in a similar role, ideally within the life sciences or pharmaceutical sector and/or in a public/global company
• Proven experience in an international business environment
• Background in Group Business Controlling
• Strong knowledge of IFRS
• Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ideal qualifications:

• Fluency in German
• Experience with PCAOB and SOX compliance
• Background in Big 4 or consulting
