HR Business Partner (all genders)
Full-time and permanent
to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of strategic HR management and business success in a global, innovative environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing high-level guidance on labor law, strategic workforce planning, organizational development, performance and team development, and employee relations (e.g., terminations, disciplinary actions, mutual agreements)
- Proactively support and coach managers in decision-making and leadership by leveraging HR tools, processes, and change management strategies
- Collaborate closely with Global HR Business Partners to ensure aligned and effective HR strategies across the business function
- Partner with the works council on matters such as hiring, transfers, and terminations, ensuring compliance and constructive dialogue
- Support the recruitment of executives, including participation in interviews upon request
- Drive and support the rollout of global HR initiatives, such as leadership development programs
- Lead or contribute to HR and cross-functional projects, including project management and change management responsibilities
- Independently resolve procedural, labor law, and works constitution law issues, establishing best practices and standards
- Utilize HR analytics and reporting to advise managers, support team development, and ensure internal HR quality standards
- Foster continuous collaboration with local and global HR colleagues (HR BPs, Recruiters, HR Advisors, Centers of Expertise) to challenge and improve HR processes and standards
Qualifications:
- Academic degree with a focus on Human Resources Management or a related field
- Several years of relevant HR experience in industrial or similar corporate environments
- Deep expertise in German labor and works constitution law, with practical experience in applying HR processes
- Proficiency in digital and automated HR systems and tools
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to recognize patterns, make pragmatic decisions, and communicate them diplomatically
- Advanced Excel skills and a strong understanding of HR metrics and reporting
- High level of assertiveness, empathy, and the ability to influence with sensitivity to context and people
- Excellent communication skills across all hierarchical levels, with a confident and approachable demeanor
- Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken
- Enthusiasm for innovation, people development, and managing multiple priorities effectively
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO industry is a plus
