The Role:

We’re looking for a passionate and curious, Director, Procurement to join our team. What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee daily procurement activities for the Seattle and Redmond sites, ensuring timely sourcing, ordering, and delivery of laboratory and GMP raw materials, consumables, capital goods, services, and indirect materials.
  • Lead and support a team of local buyers and procurement specialists to manage day-to-day procurement operations effectively.
  • Ensure continuous supplier engagement and performance to secure reliable, cost-effective supply.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, validation, facilities & engineering, and process development teams to understand and fulfill site procurement needs.
  • Coordinate operational procurement processes, including purchase requisitions, order placements, supplier follow-ups, and issue resolution.
  • Monitor procurement KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, supplier performance) and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Support the implementation of global procurement policies and procedures at the site level, ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines.
  • Provide site-level training and guidance on procurement processes and tools.
  • Contribute to local cost optimization and process improvement initiatives.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field with 10+ years of procurement or supply chain experience.
  • Experience in the biopharmaceutical industry required.
  • Strong background in operational procurement, including hands-on order placement, supplier management, and issue resolution.
  • Knowledge of GMP requirements and experience supporting manufacturing operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in ERP procurement systems (e.g., SAP) and proficiency with MS Office and digital procurement tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally and build relationships.
  • Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills with a proactive approach.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $160,000 to $200,000; Base salary offered may vary depending on individual’s skills, experience and competitive market value.

Additional total rewards include discretionary annual bonus, comprehensive benefits to include Medical, Dental and Vision, short-term and long-term disability, company paid basic life insurance, 401k company match, flexible work, generous paid time off and paid holiday, wellness and transportation benefits.
