As part of the Finance Team, this position will support financial reporting, business analysis, and forecasting at Just’s Seattle site.  The Finance Manager role requires strong communications, thoughtful financial planning, a strong data analysis orientation, outstanding independent problem-solving skills, and capable accounting with a desire to help build a growing company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Key business partner for scientific and engineering leadership teams to support business decisions and ensure financial discipline
  • Close relationships across the business to support efforts to understand business issues and grow profitably
  • Support the annual budget, long-range plan, and interim forecast process for the Seattle site
  • Responsible for various recurring and ad hoc reporting for internal & Corporate purposes
  • Conduct actionable variance analysis in a variety of settings/processes
  • Understand key drivers of the business and provide management with actionable feedback
  • Lead governance of cash mgmt. including cash planning & analysis, cap ex funding, research, funding requirements (from home office), and reporting; identifying issues and opportunities in the course of that work
  • Responsible for cap ex tracking, reporting, and budget mgmt. with stakeholders
  • Responsible for assigned SOX compliance responsibilities
  • On-site financial systems expert for TM1 Planning Tool, Coupa, Cognos, and SAP ERP
  • Decisions impact the global JUST Finance team, operational managers, and global JUST senior management

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant finance experience with increasing levels of responsibility

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and key accounting principles
  • Strong analytical capabilities with intermediate Excel skills
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Organized, detail oriented, and ability to work with confidential information
  • Pro-active, team player with strong sense of urgency
  • Experience working effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
  • Experience within biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry preferred
  • Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) preferred; experience using SAP a plus

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $130,000 $155,000;  Base salary offered may vary depending on individual’s skills, experience and competitive market value.
