Team Leader Protein Reagents (G7)
We are currently recruiting for a Team Leader (Protein Reagents) to join our Protein Sciences Team. Responsible for establishing, directing and providing, tactical and people leadership for their Protein Science area. Accountable for Project Delivery from early drug discovery projects with focus on reagents across modalities.

Key Accountabilities
- Accountable for Protein Reagent supply and Profiling to early drug discovery projects. Supports more than one project directing internal resources.
- Will be expected to provide oversight of reagent team members to ensure delivery to project specifications.
- Accountable, together with project counterparts, for the design of experiment, review of documentation and client presentation. Conducts thorough data analysis ahead of product release to internal or external customers.
- Delivers expert input for experimental design.
- Provide scientific direction and supervision of a project and scientific capability portfolio, not only through direct involvement but may also via mentoring/coaching other members of Protein Science.
- Proposes experimental designs and novel approaches to identify/advance best strategies in addition to planning/ executing project deliverables.
- Leads the development and implementation of standalone scientific services and deliverables to customers.
- Works with Team to co-develop plans for personal growth, aligned to business need
- May represent the company at scientific and/or business conferences.
- Presents and publishes as appropriate peer-reviewed science increasing own and Evotec’s scientific reputation
Knowledge & Experience
- Strong technical knowledge of Protein Purification with a proven ability to design and deliver protein reagents across target families within agreed timelines and budget, meeting agreed quality criteria
- Experience of leading protein reagent production and building trusted partnership with internal and external customers
- Experience in supporting automated workflows for protein reagent generation
- Proven track record of leading scientists to deliver high quality reagents
- Proven track record enabling personal growth through co-development of PDP
- Track record of successful problem-solving, high-quality science and influencing of stakeholders and colleagues
- Experience of scientific development and research work ideally with publications in a relevant scientific field.
Education and Qualifications
Ideally a Ph.D. degree or corresponding experience in a relevant scientific discipline with several years of relevant experience in industry. Alternatively, a relevant first degree and several years additional experience in drug discovery.

Benefits Package
- Pension on completion (but not subject to) of your 3-month probationary period. Contributions 5% for employees (salary sacrifice) and 5% for the employer. The employee can opt to increase their contribution, and the employer will match the increase up to a maximum of 7.5%.
