We are currently seeking for our Headquarter in Hamburg a highly motivated and dedicated
Senior Expert Accounting Standards IFRS (all genders)
Full time and permanent
Responsibilities:
Participation in the external reporting process, ensuring compliance of Evotec Group Financial Statements (Notes and Management report) with IFRS and DRS/HGB, and additional regulator’s requirements
Monitor accounting and regulations updates according to IFRS and DRS/HGB for Group Financial Statements
Lead Projects to implement new standards and regulations according to IFRS and DRS/HGB with effect on Group Financial Statements
Analysis of technical and complex accounting topics, complex transactions, and contracts, e.g. revenue recognition
Preparation and update of the Group’s Accounting Policies
Monitoring and enforcement of the Policies within the Group
Answer technical accounting questions to various stakeholders
Provide IFRS trainings to Global Accounting
Required Qualifications:
Successful university degree (or equivalent) in business administration, advanced studies in international accounting, group accounting or auditing
Minimum 5 years of experience in an IFRS context (Big four) and excellent knowledge of IFRS
Proactive mindset with a passion to build from scratch and drive continuous improvement
Ability to interact with various stakeholders, breakdown complex accounting issues, explain and present them to management
Fluent in English and German with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Further ideal qualifications:
Experience in Technical Accounting department of a Listed Company
Experience in project management
Experience of working in an international environment, ideally in Pharma/Biotech
