The Role:

We’re looking for a passionate and curious Senior Buyer to join our team. What You’ll Do:

• Manage and support sourcing activity across all Goods & Services categories, including GMP material  

• Support supplier selection, meeting criteria such as assurance of supply, service, cost, quality, regulatory compliance, and responsible sourcing.  

• Support the development of specific category strategies for the assigned spend categories, including market research/benchmarks, milestones, savings targets, resource requirements, and implementation plans  

• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to develop and communicate business and technical requirements  

• Support routine supplier business reviews, evaluating supplier performance and compliance.  

• Negotiate payment term extensions in support of company’s cash flow initiative  

• Identify requesting functions’ requirements and develop and refine specifications for goods and services.  

• Interpret and communicate Procurement procedures to stakeholders  

• Resolve Procurement problems between internal stakeholders and suppliers  

• Learn and become an expert on our Digital Procurement Technology platform (SAP, Coupa)  

• Work in accordance with the Evotec Global Operating Model, Group Policies and Standards, the Plant procurement activities from category strategy development to contract, implementation and supplier management. May include supporting other Plants and/or SBU as directed by SBU Procurement Lead.  

• Support implementation and compliance with policies, procedures and controls to ensure effective procurement activities and vendor execution.  

• Partner with the Operations organization to understand upcoming needs and proactively communicates challenges impacting inventory availability  

• Drive continuous improvement with suppliers utilizing systems and tools to monitor and report supplier performance and corrective action  

• Other duties as assigned by (Sr.) Director of Procurement  

Who You Are:

• Ability to work independently with minimal direction and have excellent communication skills  

• Strong systems background, including ERP and current e-procurement solutions (SAP and Coupa) 

• Worked in a regulated environment with a Quality Management System  

• Familiar with Import and Export Compliance and Procedures and logistics for drug substance, equipment and raw materials 

• Experience in GMP materials management and demand planning 

• Experience working directly with CMO or CROs and GMP suppliers 

• Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel  

• Certification in Project Management 

• Certification in Supply Chain Management

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $95,000 to $109,000;  Base salary offered may vary depending on individual’s skills, experience and competitive market value. Additional total rewards include discretionary annual bonus, comprehensive benefits to include Medical, Dental and Vision, short-term and long-term disability, company paid basic life insurance, 401k company match, flexible work, generous paid time off and paid holiday, wellness and transportation benefits.
